Yours truly is feeling rather sheepish to be admitting this, but another a-maize-ing connection between the Disney company and the agricultural industry has been discovered and I missed it.
During our trip to the “World” last December we did not visit Mickey’s Toon Town Fair. Thankfully for us, we have a couple of locals down there who are willing to keep their eyes and “ears” open when visiting the parks. Recently Glenn Whelan and Bryan “Disney is second home” Ripper visited the Kingdom yet again. This time via an e-mail communication from Glenn I asked him to keep an eye out for corn products. I had a suspicion that somewhere around Goofy's Wiseacre Farm there might be some corn.
Glenn surprised me with several photos and I learned something new about Toon Town. Did you know that this section of the Magic Kingdom was founded by none other than Cornelius Coot the Great Great Grandfather of Donald Duck?
And his primary contribution to the towns prosperity was corn. It’s true and it just goes to show you that corn goes well beyond Iowa.
According to Wikipedia Cornelius also founded Duckburg and Calisota. To learn more about Cornelius visit this link and see what others have contributed regarding his history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelius_Coot
As a bonus today here is Donald's Family Tree.

Glenn here is a big old YEE HAW!!! of thanks for your contribution this week.
And I would like to remind any of you other readers out there that we at AATC welcome any corn related story or photos you care to share with us. Just send them to. allaboutthecorn@mchsi.com or to caballerofan@mchsi.com
