They ate the whole sink and then some.

I was just snapping off a photo of some traditional Mexican corn husk art, when my ears first heard the rumors about a gathering that had recently occurred over at Disney’s Yacht and Beach club. It seems that a record had recently been set for consuming something called a Kitchen Sink over at the Beaches and Cream Ice Cream Parlor. I was longing for something cool and a place to relax so I decided to look into exactly what this Kitchen Sink and the rumor was all about.
Upon my arrival at the resort I inquired of the doorman (a very respectable gentleman named Art) where to go and he pointed me in the right direction.
Entering Beaches and Cream once again reminded of the early days of my youth and the soda shops we had in my home town of Somerset, Wisconsin.
I inquired about the Kitchen Sink and was told that yes the rumors were true. That only a couple weeks prior a gathering of over 30 people, who only knew each other from the internet had come in and made short work of Five Kitchen Sinks and Two No Way Jose’s. He even showed me the plaque on the wall that commemorates the event.
So what is in a Kitchen Sink? Well its eight scoops of ice cream topped with brownies cookies and then covered with caramel, fudge, chocolate, and an entire can of whipped cream. And let's not forget the cherrys. Those folks must have worked up an appetite at parks to wolf all that down.

Eventually I got around to ordering something for myself. Nothing so fancy, just a nice old fashioned sundae with some candy corn on top.

Gee if you ate that you wouldn't have any room for corn.

What is your favorite corn dish???

My favorite corn, would have to be the Peaches and Cream sweet corn grown in Grimes, Iowa.
Simply boil up a few ears and add butter, salt, and pepper. The result is a tasty side dish that goes great with any meal.

And yes, that is an actual variety of corn.
